Terms and Conditions for Domain Management and Hosting Services

Acceptable Use

VS Group does not permit the use of any of its services to be used for illegal activities; to host or transmit pornography; to host or transmit offensive or defaming materials; to conduct any activities deemed as spamming in nature; or to host or transmit insecure or malicious code or applications.  VS Group reserves the right to suspend services of any client that does not comply with the acceptable use guidelines.  VS Group reserves the right to suspend the services of any client whose use of said services interferes with or impairs the operation of any or all other VS Group services.

Liability

No employees or agents of VS Group may be held liable for any damages as a result of content, materials or actions of the client or any client representatives. VS Group will not be held liable for any damages or loss of income due to the lack of or impaired operations of any services provided by VS Group.

Maintenance

In order to ensure proper operations of its services, VS Group reserves the right to undertake maintenance or repairs, without prior notice, that may temporarily affect services.  VS Group reserves the right to monitor services, client content and materials in order to ensure compliance with Acceptable Use Guidelines.

Suspension of Services

VS Group reserves the right to suspend any or part of client’s service if client is in non-compliance with Acceptable Use guidelines or due to non-payment.  Failure to comply or resolve outstanding issues may result in a non-refundable cancellation of part or all services.

Client Cancellation and Changes of Services

Client services with VS Group automatically renew at the end of the service term at posted rates or previously negotiated rates.  Intent to discontinue service at the end of the service term must be made, in writing, no later than 60 days prior to end of service term date or VS Group will proceed with auto-renewal of service and the client billed.  All cancellations of services prior to end of service term are non-refundable.
Upon cancellation of services, VS Group is under no obligation to maintain client content, data and materials which may be removed at VS Group’s discretion. Should the client require assistance to move data to another service provider, VS Group will gladly assist in any means possible and client may be billed at a the standard hourly billable support rate.  Please contact VS Group for questions and requests for assistance.
Additions or changes to services must be in writing.  Charges will be pro-rated for the remaining term of the contract and billed either at end of term or immediately depending on the nature of the service changes.

Standard Windows or Linux Website Hosting

  • Upon retaining or terminating hosting services, it is not the responsibility of VS Group to transfer data and documents to/from other parties and website configuration.  Support may be granted by VS Group and client billed at the standard hourly support rate.
  • Additional hosted domains for website may be subject to an additional fee.  Contact VS Group for details.
  • Requests to update DNS (Domain Name System) record updates may be subject to a service fee.  Please contact VS Group for fee details.
  • All Websites hosted with VS Group share an IP (Internet Protocol) address, meaning the IP address is shared by many websites at the same time.  Shared IP addresses may change without notice.  Clients do not own the shared IP address and upon cancellation of services, clients may not retain their IP address.  If there is a requirement for a Dedicated IP address, please contact VS Group for assistance.

Unlimited Windows or Linux Hosting

  • Additional hosted domains for website may be subject to an additional fee.  Contact VS Group for details.

  • All Websites hosted with VS Group share an IP (Internet Protocol) address, meaning the IP address is shared by many websites at the same time.  Shared IP addresses may change without notice.  Clients do not own the shared IP address and upon cancellation of services, clients may not retain their IP address.  If there is a requirement for a Dedicated IP address, please contact VS Group for assistance.
  • Unlimited storage and bandwidth quotas are meant for normal operations of a website and not as an unlimited file storage solution or backup solution for servers and home/office computers.  Should abuse be detected or should the bandwidth or storage requirements interfere with the normal operation, VS Group may suspend service as per Acceptable Use Guidelines.

100MB POP Email Hosting

  • VS Group will provide the client with the necessary information for accessing email messages, however VS Group is not obligated to configure or assist in configuring email applications (desktop or mobile) to send/receive email.  Support may be granted by VS Group and client billed at the standard hourly support rate.
  • Some ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) require all outgoing mail traffic to be directed through their mail system, and as a result, block all outgoing mail traffic to 3rd party mail servers.  VS Group does not guarantee that outgoing email messages will be able to be sent through the outgoing (SMTP) server provided and client may be required to update their outgoing mail server settings in their email client to use their ISP’s outgoing mail server.  If requested, support may be granted by VS Group and client billed at the standard hourly support rate.
  • VS Group’s mail servers limit the number of relays per day to 250 (a relay is an outgoing message to each recipient i.e. one message with one ‘to’ recipient and 2 ‘cc’ recipients would consist of 3 relays).  If additional relays are required, please contact VS Group for assistance.
  • When a mailbox has reached its quota, it may stop receiving mail.  Clients may be required to login through the webmail interface with the login information provided at setup and delete messages to free up space.  If larger mailboxes are required, additional space may be purchased.  Please contact VS Group for assistance.
  • The IMAP service for synchronizing email messages may not be supported by all VS Group email hosting plans.  Please contact VS Group is there is a requirement for IMAP supported.
  • When moving email to/from a VS Group email hosting plan, it is not the responsibility of VS Group to transfer any data remaining on mail servers.  Should you require assistance to migrate email from one service to another, VS Group may offer assistance and client billed at the standard hourly support rate.
  • VS Group does not backup email data saved on any of its mail servers.  It is recommended that clients implement their own backup strategy for important email data.  If you require a custom email backup solution, please contact VS Group for assistance and pricing.

Email Forwarding and Email Aliases

  • If changes to recipient of an email forwarding account after the initial setup are require, client may be subject to a service fee.  Please contact VS Group for assistance.

Office 365 Email Hosting

  • VS Group will provide the client with the necessary information for accessing email messages, however VS Group is not obligated to configure or assist in configuring email applications (desktop or mobile) to send/receive email.  Support may be granted by VS Group and client billed at the standard hourly support rate.
  • When moving email to/from a VS Group email hosting plan, it is not the responsibility of VS Group to transfer any data remaining on mail servers.  Should you require assistance to migrate email from one service to another, VS Group may offer assistance and client billed at the standard hourly support rate.
  • When a mailbox has reached its quota, it may stop receiving mail.  Clients may be required to archive and then delete messages to free up space.  If larger mailboxes are required, additional space may be purchased.  Please contact VS Group for assistance.
  • Office 365 Email accounts may not be used in conjunction with any other email hosting plans.  Please contact VS Group for details.
  • If changes to a recipient of an email forwarding account are requested after the initial setup, client may be subject to a service fee.  Please contact VS Group for assistance.
  • VS Group does not backup email data saved on any of its mail servers.  It is recommended that clients implement their own backup strategy for important email data.  If you require a custom email backup solution, please contact VS Group for assistance and pricing.

Domain Management Services

  • Upon registration or transfer of a domain, VS Group will enter either Name Server or Domain Forwarding information.  Client may be subject to a service fee if further Name Server or Domain Forwarding updates are requested.  Please contact VS Group for assistance.
  • Client’s contact information will be listed in the Registrant contact information when requested by client.  Additional changes requested by client to Registrant Contact details may result in a service fee charged to client.

Email Disclaimer

VS Group e-mails and any attachments may contain confidential and privileged information. If you are not the intended recipient, please notify the sender immediately by returning e-mail and destroying any copies. Any dissemination or use of this information by a person other than the intended recipient is unauthorized and may be illegal.
